LisaNova

Hi! Celebrating the festival of lights here in San Fran. Hope all is well folks- look for a new blog post soon, but until then Please Please Please vote for my video (Neuroses in D) at the Lisanova holiday video contest....

www.lisanovalive.com

winning would be great exposure as well as a fab opportunity to keep doing more net content and chatting with all you fantastic folks. Plus perhaps it will allow me to make enough money to move out of my parent's basement which, if you're a longtime reader, you know is kind of a priority. Keep me posted on holiday happenings people.

Much Love,
Hannah

I've now seen all your vids, and read all of ...this page, and am following you on twitter... this sounds so stalkerish... When is your book going to be coming out? I'd love to read it! so, um... ya. keep up the awesome work. :)

  3. I entered the LisaNova contest but didn't make the top 10 because my video was equal parts creepy and unfunny. Nevertheless, I thought I might be in with a shot because every entry I watched was every bit as unsettlingly awful as mine. This is all apropos of saying that when the finalists came out I was prepared to feel aggrieved but then I watched your video and didn't.

That's as close to a compliment as you'll get from me because I don't want to appear fawning. It's undignified.

  5. Which Murakami are you reading? I found the two Wild Sheep novels interesting, though I kept wishing that something would *happen*, if you know what I mean. The guy's just a little strange. Similar sensibility to Mamoru Oshii.

  6. Thanks for your comment. Yes, there's a story in it somewhere - I just need to finish the one I'm currently working on. Without my writing partner, it's difficult to find dedicated time to focus. I don't know that I'll even try until after the holidays, and guests, leave.

How do you stay focused? (besides needing to move out of the house?)

  8. Your (few) videoes are really great, and your sense of humor is really awesome. I like that it's things you've put some thought into, and that you make it seem all spontaneous. Funny little things like your line 'but it turns out the dark is scarier than the nazis - at least you can see the nazis'.
Great job, please keep posting videos, I subscribed(and your the ONLY one I've EVER subscribed too).

  9. I only stumbled across your blogspot because of your entry in the lisanova contest. It wasn't necessarily the humor or wit of your songs, or the beautiful voice you have, or the utter sexiness that flows from a woman with a guitar, who from what I can tell from the video is without a shirt that drew me here. The reason I came to your page is all of you. To say you are gorgeous isn't enough, it is the combination of the above along with your brains and delicately beautiful (probably the wrong word for a Yale grad) features. Your skin mixed with the darkness of your curls strikes me with a pang of wanting. You make me want to write you a poem about whatever it is that makes you happy. Anyway I'm just a boy intrigued by you, harmless. Oh and by the way my name is Anonymous or Enamoredinkansas27, but not Stalker.

  12. Thanks for the comment. Following your blog now. Glad someone else was fucking miserable on new years eve too!

Nice vid, btw. The part about waking up in a bathtub sans kidney and the culprit just asking next time- brilliant.
